Welcome to The Helpful Art Teacher, an interdisciplinary website linking visual arts to math, social studies, science and language arts.

Learning how to draw means learning to see. A good art lesson teaches us not only to create but to look at, think about and understand our world through art.

Valentines!

IMPORTANT:

Before you create your valentines,
click here to read my post 'How to make a six sided paper snowflake, step by step'.

You will need:
Scissors, glue, one pink piece of paper, one red piece of paper and one white piece of paper.

Print out these directions and create your snowflake

If you know how to write a question mark, you know how to draw a heart.

Cut a heart shaped window out of  one piece of your colored construction paper

Now just glue your snowflake to the back of your heart shaped window.
Use the other piece of colored construction paper as your background.
